About Us

I’ve had little gardens over the years, but the pandemic sparked a passion I didn’t realize I had. I wanted to learn how to grow great quality food, organically, and sustainably. However, the Alabama heat, humidity, and pests continue to challenge me! The first couple of years were rough! I’ve come a long way since 2020 and my processes get better and better. So does the food. I’ve always had a serving heart making sure everyone has had a enough to eat. I get that from my parents.

Starting this market farm has truly been some of the most frustrating and yet most rewarding experiences I’ve had yet. I love Huntsville, I love serving the community, and I love sharing my labor of love…the produce! All our vegetables are grown with care and hand harvested and tended. Give our CSA a try, I know you’ll be able to taste the difference!

Our Crew

Alexis • CSA Manager
With a background in horticulture and business, I’m passionate about propagating rare tropical plants—and lately, diving into mycology too! HFF opened the door to organic farming for me, and I love growing beautiful, delicious food for a community that truly values it.
John
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, I followed a passion for food that led me from culinary school in North Carolina to meat cutting in Tennessee. Then eventually to farming, and back to Alabama. Outside of farming I spend my time exploring Huntsville with my family, playing guitar and making kombucha.
Kristen • On-Farm Pickup
Originally from South Dakota by way of Colorado, I now greet members and welcome them during our on-farm pickups. I love working for HFF—it lets me serve the community, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors!
Sharnice • Main Driver
Meet our main driver, Sharnice. If you see her in the big van, be sure to say  hello!
Vicki & Guru • Volunteers
These two have been with HFF since the very beginning, lending a hand wherever needed—especially with our bees! If you see them around, be sure to say hello!
